ABE's AoB Venue Settings are much simpler than some of the Venue's requirements. ABE's Venue Settings requires your ABE Userid (which is different than the sign-in for your seller account) and an API Key.
How to locate your ABE Userid:
- Log in to your ABE Seller Account
- Click on the ‘Account Details’ link
- Then the ‘Marketplace Profile’ link
- The information you need is displayed in the User ID field.
To generate the API Key:
- Log in to your ABE Seller Account
- Locate the “My API Key” link located within your AbeBooks Member Menu.
- Generate the API Key and use it in place of your Password for ABE in the AoB Venue Settings.
Please make sure that if you copy/paste your API Key into the AoB Venue Settings, there are no blank extra spaces before or after what you're entering. A blank space will be read as a character space and can make your login attempt invalid.
If your API Key becomes invalid, repeat the process of generating a new API key from the ABE website and re-enter the API Key as your ABE password on the AoB Venue Settings for ABE.
Specify your Selling Plan, and it will allow AoB to post your ABE processing and commissions correctly. The maximum number of days for each of Priority Shipping and International Priority Shipping should be entered so that your orders can be highlighted correctly on Ship Your Books before you click the save button at the bottom of the page.
Defaults are 10 and 12. If the max days on an order is the entered value or lower, we mark it as Expedited.
