Using AOB for IOBA

Hi,

I'm looking into listing my inventory on IOBA and was curious if anyone has done that using AOB. Does AOB integrate well with their website?

  Hi Benjamin,

  I personally am not aware of any Sellers using AoB's services to list to, or manage orders from IOBA.  But, since it's a site that AoB does not already support the only option available would be to set them up as a Custom Venue. 

  You can read AoB's documentation on how to add a custom venue by navigating to Help Center > Venues > Custom Venue or by simply entering 'custom venue' as a search phrase at the top of your page.  

  Once reading AoB's documentation on this subject it will become quickly apparent that AoB requires the use of FTP accounts to bridge between our service and the site to which you wish to connect.  So, your next step would be to find out if the site you're wanting to add can meet the FTP and file format requirements that AoB has documented. 

  If the site in question can meet AoB's requirements then you should be able to set them up without issue in the Custom Venue section of the Venue Settings in your AoB account.  However, if the site in question only offers an API that they wish third-party services to utilize for connecting to their site it would require that AoB builds support for that site.

  Hope this at least gives you a guideline to follow in lieu of the seller's conversation you were likely looking for.  Let us know if you have further questions though.  =)

  Thanks Samantha. I checked with IOBA and they are actually phasing out selling books on their website. I guess they are turning into more of a bookseller directory, rather than a bookselling platform as they were before. Oh well. But thanks anyway :)
