Hello, I sell books live at a flea market. How can I record sales that are not online? I tried changing the quantity to 0, but it wouldn't let me save the record. Thanks, Ilene

nmiller punch inventory, type in the sku, enter. when the item appears you have the option to delete where it will change to zero. this is for books discarded, no good etc... for a manual sale you have to enter the information manually in add an external order

ilene I think I found the solution. I change the quantity to 0 and then save the record. If anyone knows otherwise, let me know.

samantha If all you're wanting to do is simply delete items from inventory then you're doing it correctly. nmiller's comment is correct if you're wanting to keep track of the orders though.

ilene Samantha, nmiller wrote: "or a manual sale you have to enter the information manually in add an external order," but I don't understand what he is suggesting. What does it mean to "add an external order?" I do want to keep a record. I didn't know that marking 0 deleting the full record.

samantha External orders are those you've had that are outside of our supported sites. You enter them manually using the Add an External Order page that you'll see in your AoB account on the Inventory menu in the Unsupported Venue and Other Actions section. You'll also find an Article explaining its use in your Help Center
I don't know what you mean by 'deleting the full record' but if you'll clarify your question I'll gladly try again to respond to it.
Tip: If you sign in to the Help Center when you click that link from your AoB account your AoB login will be used to recognize you and you can leave comments/questions on the Articles directly that can be responded to by staff and other AoB'ers.

ilene Samantha, I looked at Add External Order. When I do live sales (as if I was a brick-and-mortar bookstore), I do not capture the buyer's name -- or any other personal details. So what would be the advantage of using this function over just marking the quantity as 0 versus 1?Is there a way to use Add External Order without a buyer's information? (I'll add this question to the article as well).
